Privacy Notice
This notice describes the information GenMedia uses to run human evaluations and the boundaries applied to reviewer-profile and client-context data.
Effective 18 August 2026
Account and reviewer information
GenMedia stores your verified account identifier, email, display name, platform role, required reviewer setup fields and the preferences you save. Country entered in your profile remains the authoritative self-reported country for staffing filters.
Account-free Evaluation invitations
A public Evaluation invitation creates a random, synthetic identity limited to the single Evaluation Task named by that invitation. GenMedia stores keyed one-way digests of the invitation, a random first-party device cookie, network address and bounded user-agent value for rate limiting, repeat-participation prevention and Session security. The raw invitation secret, device-cookie value, network address and user-agent text are not stored in the guest-evaluation tables.
Production invitations use Cloudflare Turnstile for human verification. Cloudflare receives the browser and network information needed to perform that check under its own privacy terms. GenMedia stores only a keyed receipt digest, not the Turnstile response token.
Automatically recorded context
Authenticated sessions record an allowlisted coarse snapshot consisting of browser and operating-system family, locale, timezone, screen and viewport size bands, connection class where available, and an approximate two-letter network country supplied by trusted hosting infrastructure. Network country can be inaccurate when a VPN, relay or corporate gateway is used. The IP used by hosting infrastructure to derive it is not stored in the GenMedia reviewer-context table.
What the context record excludes
The reviewer-context API rejects unknown fields. It does not persist raw user-agent text, IP addresses, city or precise location, exact screen or viewport dimensions, device fingerprints, authorization claims from editable account metadata, or an arbitrary JSON payload.
For evaluation abuse prevention, GenMedia may store a keyed one-way digest derived from a random first-party browser cookie. The cookie is not built from hardware, canvas, fonts, browsing history or the excluded context above. A shared digest is treated only as a review signal and is not, by itself, proof that accounts belong to the same person.
Evaluation evidence
When you evaluate, GenMedia stores the assigned comparison, your decision, comments you choose to submit, timing, task/session identifiers and bounded protocol-health information. Evaluation media, references and prompts are governed by their Dataset, Project and Evaluation Task settings.
If you complete an account-free Evaluation and later save it to a verified account, GenMedia records the one-time claim relationship and grants eligible in-product credits exactly once. The original synthetic evaluator, Session and event owners are not rewritten. Discarded, expired and claimed synthetic identities are suspended and their authentication access is disabled by a bounded cleanup process while immutable evidence and audit records remain.
Optional hearing-support data
Hearing-support information is optional and handled separately from ordinary account and technical context. GenMedia requires a dedicated acknowledgement before saving it. It can be omitted without preventing account or Evaluation access, and can be removed from Settings.
Access and aggregation
You can read your own current reviewer-profile and client-context records. MLOpt and platform admins can inspect required ordinary profile fields and coarse technical context inside a task-scoped, pseudonymous Session review. They can also access cross-account technical-context distributions through aggregate groups with a minimum cohort threshold. Rater Pool filters similarly return aggregate match counts; individual names, emails and account IDs are not exposed by the pool catalog.
Optional hearing-support information appears in Session review only after its dedicated acknowledgement and profile-sharing control. Optional vision and color-vision answers appear only after the separate Session-level sharing control. Missing accessibility information is not inferred.
Updates, retention and requests
Current profile and technical context are updated when you save settings or start a later authenticated session. Immutable task and cohort snapshots may retain the historical inputs needed to reproduce an evaluation decision. Contact a platform administrator to request access, correction or deletion where it does not conflict with required audit records or other applicable obligations.
